( Lottery winner song lyrics )
ALL THAT MONEY
Copyright 2007 - MickTerry.com

I always knew that I would be a winner,
not just a silly dream or wishful thought.
We all were having pie right after dinner
when the big winning Lotto numbers were drawn.

I didn't even look to check my numbers
'til after sev'ral days: I found I won.
I thought that I mistook and made a blunder.
But I waited 'til all the hoopla was done.
I just knew everyone would pester me,
badger, bug me, plead and beg:

"So, what are you going to do with ALL THAT MONEY?
What do you have to prove with ALL THAT cash?
How're you going to choose to spend it, Honey?
You could do some good right here."

I calmly waited weeks to claim my winnings.
I didn't even tell my wife a word.
I kept it so discrete to keep from spinning
out of control once the whole damned universe heard.
I just knew everyone would pester me,
badger, bug me, plead and beg:

"So, what are you going to do with ALL THAT MONEY?
What do you have to prove with ALL THAT dough?
How're you going to choose to spend it, Honey?
You could do some good right here."

But my wife found my checkbook
        for that special account.
Though she swore not to tell, there's no keeping it down.
She told her Mom who told her Sis
who told her cousin named Nan.
In an hour there were calls from people making demands.
In a day, people crowded ev'ry inch of my lawn,
insisting they were relatives that I'd never known.

My Uncle Sydney's fifth divorced wife Helen,
two cousins from Detroit that we knew were dead, ...
Each with entitlements and needs compelling,
they expect me to give them all of my bread.

I didn't know that I was quite so popular.
Now, ev'rybody wants to be our friends.
Investments running high, they go for the jugular.
Can't we just disappear back before this began?
I just knew everyone would pester me,
badger, bug me, plead and beg:

"So, what are you going to do with ALL THAT MONEY?
What do you have to prove with ALL THAT loot?
How're you going to choose to spend it, Honey?
You could do some good right here."
