As to why he took up residence
in our lake, no one knows
and it's doubtful that he'll do any interviewing.
But this alligator's moving in
has caused our lake to close
to prevent somebody ending up in his chewing.

    FROM TOOTH TO TAIL, he will prevail:
    he's a gator.
    Since dinosaurs, through the times of cars:
    he's a gator.
    It's all about survival and getting a little tail
    & finding something you can sink your teeth into.
    FROM TOOTH TO TAIL, he will prevail:
    he's a gator.

So, they've sent in all these gator men
to catch the armored fiend.
Some are flying in from half-the-way 'cross the country
with their nooses, nets & little boats,
but not one submarine,
all convinced they'll put a stop to this guy's free lunching.

    CHORUS

        So much posturing, so much bravado.
        So much for making such a mess.
        Maybe there's no capturing this reptilian desperado.
        Haven't we learned anything from Loch Ness?

Now, it seems to me they've overlooked
one simple sure-fire bait:
like a slim and sexy, beautiful female gator.
But before too long, it's getting cold
& he'll just hibernate.
And this alligator's going to say, "See you later".

(spoken) Was this a case of well-intentioned, but misplaced ...
          gator aid?     ( Ouch, ... that bites ... )

Official welcoming celebration at LA Zoo for Reggie,
proclaimed the world's most famous animal.
Reggie takes over the alligator exhibit near main entrance
as handlers are unsure of his social behavior with others of his kind.

Reggie finally caught after getting stuck on a fence.
Imprisoned in small tank at LA Zoo. (Better than Guantanamo)

Reggie's back! Reappeared after hibernation.
10-17-05
Misdemeanor charges filed against former LAPD officer Todd Natow
& Anthony Brewer for dumping a 6 1/2 foot, 150-pound alligator
into Lake Machado of Harbor City, CA.
Although another alligator was recently caught there,
this much larger reptile, nicknamed "Reggie",
eluded capture by various alligator "experts" for several months.
